Tariq Saeed

Karachi University

Mr. Tariq Saeed has been brought up and educated in Karachi. Initially he aspired to pursue a career in science/engineering and obtained a B.Sc Degree from Karachi in 1985. Later he changed career direction and took up the legal profession.


He completed his LL.B., M.A. (Int. Rel.) and LL.M. from the Karachi University and is currently the Head of Legal and Company Secretary for Shell Pakistan Limited.

He first joined Fazle Ghani, Advocates (Mr. Makhdoom Ali Khan) as an Associate Advocate in 1990, then after two and a half years joined the Judicial Service as a Judicial Magistrate in which capacity he worked for about five years. He joined Shell Pakistan Limited in 1996 as the Legal Advisor and worked in this capacity at different levels for six years. In 2003, he became the head of the Contracting and Procurement Department and gained valuable experience in supply chain management. In 2006, he returned to the Legal Department as its Head and was later assigned the additional portfolio of Company Secretary.
