Lawyer, 10 years professional experience
After earning his law degree from the U.K and completing Spring and Summer Internships at two of the top five London City Firms, Lovells and Simmons, Jawad returned to Pakistan to practice civil law.


Over the years, Jawad has acted for, advised and assisted several of the World’s Leading International Manufacturing, Trading and Services Companies on matters relating to, inter alia, Admiralty & Shipping, Arbitration, Aviation, Banking, Employment and Labor Law, International Trade, Power, Product Liability, Intellectual Property and Information Technology. He regularly represents clients in Court both trial and appellate with vigor and verve. The first reported case in Pakistan dealing with Electronic Commerce and the New York Convention relating to International Arbitration was argued by him. He has a growing practice in International Commercial and Corporate Law with extensive experience of various transactions and projects as well as joint ventures, distribution and agency agreements, franchise and license agreements, share purchase agreements and financing arrangements.

Jawad Sarwana is an Advocate of the High Court (the Court of Appeals), was made a Partner in the Law Firm of Abraham & Sarwana in 2007 and was accredited as a Mediator in the same year. He has presented Papers on Electronic Commerce and Software Liability at various national and international conferences including IPBA, LAWASIA and PAKCON and assisted the World Bank in their project work in Pakistan from time to time.

Jawad’s rest and relaxation takes the shape of live theatre performances and he has appeared in several Old Grammarian Plays staged in Karachi.
