“I am not afraid of challenges. Like I always say to myself, if I want to sweat it out I’d better be prepared to get burnt.” This is Ishtiaq Ahmed Memon’s attitude towards life.
Memon has assisted in cases dealing with civil, corporate and constitutional Laws in the High Court of Sindh and the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He believes that having intensively witnessed case proceedings in the High Court of Sindh, High Court of Australia and Court of Appeals Germany he can compare all the legal systems.
He is a Junior Partner at Mushtaq A. Memon and Associates Advocates, and also mentors and teaches Law students at the University level. Currently Memon is a lecturer at SZABIST where he was given the best performance award as lecturer.
He has worked as an associate at Vellani and Vellani law firm and at Rasheed Razvi and Associate Advocates.
In his 3 years as a lawyer Memon has independently worked on a number of assignments. He drafted the legal opinion for ARY TV Channel over copyrights, worked on the merger of companies and dealt with the passing off action by Pepsi Cola International (pertaining to the introduction of potato chips). To date he has been advising Makro-Habib Pakistan over property and business issues.
