Strengthening Public Grievance Redress Mechanisms Project located in Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat, Islamabad,(SPGRM), has signed an MOU with KCDR to Conduct two trainings titled “Mediation as an ADR Mechanism” of Two Days each of 40 Investigation officers, including Investigating Officers of the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat, Provincial Mohtasib Secretariats and Specialty Ombudsmen in mediation, alternate dispute resolution (ADR) and conflict resolutions techniques to develop capacity of Investigating Officers of Mohtasib Secretariats in resolving disputes in order to acieve the fallowing outcome.

•             Understand the concept of ADR its implementation and different mechanisms.
•             Understand different approaches of Negotiations in specific context of Mohtasib functions
•             Comprehend the art of questioning, investigation, unfolding the underlying issues in dispute resolution.
•             Learn different phases of mediation and bargaining. The first session will be held at Karachi on 24th -25th Oct-2011
where as the second at Islamabad on 31st Oct-1st November-2011
 
40 participants representing federal and provincial Ombudsmen( Mohtasib Secretariat and Investigating officers of the Specialty Ombudsmen including Tax, Banking, Insurance and Ombudsmen for the protection of women against harassment will participate.
